Remote Bidding Procedures for the KJF Auction

We hope you will join us for the 20th Annual Spring Auction, taking place Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Chicago-Kent.  However, we recognize that some alumni may not be able to attend.  That's why KJF is proud to offer remote bidding on select live and silent auction items! Simply email us at kjf@kentlaw.edu with your maximum bid no later than 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 and we will designate someone as your proxy bidder. For silent auction items, if your maximum bid has not been exceeded at the close of the auction, you will win the item for $1 more than the highest amount on the bid sheet. Winners will be contacted via email to arrange for payment via check or online. Below is a list of select silent and live auction items. Check back periodically for updates. Happy bidding!

NEWLY ADDED! (3/30/11):

Shindig in the Suburbs Venture to Professor Kent Streseman’s suburban home where he will cook a semi-gourmet meal for up to 12 guests. He will then hang out with you until an awkwardly late hour (or, if you so choose, you can just eat his food, drink his drinks, and leave).

Movies With Rosado Three students can join Professor Cesar Rosado and his wife at one of the movies being presented at the Chicago Latino Film Festival. The film will likely be “The Life of Fish,” winner of many international awards, shown on Sunday April 10th, at 5:45. If tickets are unavailable for this movie, Professor Rosado will chose another. Afterwards, the Rosados will take the lucky winners out for drinks.

Pizza, Beer, and Fright Films
Professor Elizabeth De Armond will host you and up to four additional guests at her home in Wilmette on a mutually agreeable date.  She will provide pizza and beer to accompany the screening of two to three horror films to be determined (and the genre is up for negotiation as well, if the winning bidders would prefer something different). 

Barrister’s Ball Tickets Party down at the modern wing of the Art Institute with these two tickets to the 2011 Barrister’s Ball. Admission includes hor d’oeurves, a cocktail reception, dancing, dinner, and an open bar. ($140 Value)

23. Seventh Circuit Lunch This package allows two students to join the Honorable Judge Ilana Diamond Rovner (’66) of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals for lunch in her chambers at the Dirksen Courthouse. This chance to spend time with one of the most esteemed jurists in the country is priceless!

24. School Yourself in Chicago What better way to spend a summer day than enjoying Chicago’s world-class architecture with Chicago-Kent’s world-class faculty? Professor A. Dan Tarlock will treat four to an architectural tour and lunch downtown in June.

25. Drinks Tasting for Six Professor Christopher Buccafusco invites six winners to his home for a tasting of wine, beer, or whisky. The winning bidders will select their preferred drink and level of interest and sophistication – novice, intermediate, or expert. For example, the novice beer tasting could include various styles of beer – pilsner, kolsch, IPA, stout. The intermediate wine tasting could cover differences between Old World and New World cabernets or syrahs.
