Tax Assistance Program Training Weds., Feb. 10

Ladder Up's Tax Assistance Program (TAP) helps thousands of low-income Chicago families each year receive their maximum federal and state tax refund.  Volunteers learn how to use TAP's tax preparation software and guide clients through the process, learning some marketable skills and making a huge difference in people's lives along the way.  You will also get to chat and work with practicing Chicago attorneys doing pro bono work with TAP - a great networking opportunity!

Get certified in tax preparation by TAP staff next Wednesday, February 10th at noon in room 545.  The training lasts about an hour, after which you will be asked to take a short online test.  Then you will be ready to volunteer with TAP any time throughout the tax season!  Additionally, at least two Kent group volunteer sessions will be planned by KJF throughout the next couple of months.
